Testimonials

Hear from my couples what it's like to work with me

"So much more than just a Photographer! Working with Stephanie was a joy and felt effortless. Stephanie, with the serenity of a nun answered all my questions, sparked inspiration, brought me comfort and a real sense of friendship while working through some of the more stressful days of planning and execution."

"After returning to the cabin at night she took a few long exposure night shots with us, some more at sunrise the next morning (which turned out to be some of our favorites - including her signature sleeping bag jumps), AND some on the hike out. She never rests, which is how you can tell this is a true passion for her!"

Jessica & Matt
"Stephanie has such a genuine heart and she is so much fun to be around. She will pose you if you need help but can also capture the rare, candid moments that everyone wants to look back at on their wedding day. She helped us pick the perfect location, and even went as far as hiking to the location herself to make sure it would be perfect for photos."

F.A.Q.

Every couple’s day looks very different. The amount of images delivered depends on the amount of time, what activities there are, how much hiking is involved and if there is scenery along the way. Weather and bugs are also factors that can determine how much time you end up wanting to spend doing the planned events you want captured. That being said, there’s an average of 30-50 images delivered per hour of coverage.

This question right here should be the least of your worries, I promise! I take a natural approach to “posing” so I’ll have you doing things like walking from here to there, telling you to climb up onto that rock and look at the scenery, sit over here and cuddle into each other, etc. They will be things that you most likely already do with each other and if you do those things the way you normally do, it won’t feel or look awkward. Part of what makes a couple look awkward in photos is when they’re told to pose in ways they normally wouldn’t. I won’t make you do that. It’s not about whether you’re comfortable in front of the camera, it’s about if you’re comfortable in front of each other.

You guys will probably get wet! I’m a firm believer that there’s no bad weather if you’re prepared with the gear for it. Leading up to your date, we will watch the weather forecast and if there’s any possibility of rain, we will simply pack some rain jackets, I’ll bring clear umbrellas, and we’ll embrace the wetness. If it makes you feel any better, rain is one of my favorite conditions to photograph couples in. It’s very Notebook-y and always looks super romantic! The only weather-related situation that where I ever reschedule is if it’s straight up unsafe. Like a lightning storm or a hurricane.

After we’ve established that we are a good fit, I will send you a contract through my CRM, Honeybook, to look over and sign (can all be done online, no paper or ancient fax machines necessary). I will also send an invoice for the 50% retainer through Quickbooks that will reserve your date. The remaining amount will be due 30 days before your date. If you book with me within 30 days of your date, the full amount will be due upfront. If you’d like to have a different type of payment plan, I am pretty flexible with this.

Literally anything you want! You have me from sunrise to sunset, so anything we can fit in that time is what could happen. I usually tell couples that the way to plan your all day elopement is to think about what your dream day looks like. Maybe that includes a long hike to a remote location in the mountains, maybe it includes climbing a multi-pitch to your ceremony spot, maybe it includes having a helicopter ride to a glacier, or maybe it’s as simple yet romantic as driving to your favorite spot on the coast to stroll along the beach and having a picnic at sunset. At some point in that perfect day, we’ll throw in a ceremony where you marry that weirdo you’ve been dating for a while.
